It’s time to say goodbye, but I think goodbyes are sad and I’d much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure.
— Ernie Harwell

We all have heard that good-byes are never easy. We have recently experienced such an emotional moment at the end of our online session that took place a week before, last Sunday, on 21st Feb 2021. All batch fellows and our respected facilitators, Sir Noor and ma’am Arfa were sad at the thought of not seeing one another on weekends. In the beginning, we were strangers and I was so anxious to make any connections but the Amal team and our facilitators helped us to make us as a single batch despite geographical diversity.

Last session of Amal Academy, All wearing Black.

Amal taught me to keep myself positive in all situations to take away the experience and to show gratitude, and I learned passion, soft skills, communication skills, leadership, and teamwork in all the activities and energizers. Especially our last energizer of ‘solving Riddles and taking selfies’, organized by our facilitators, was a sort of recap of all the skills we learned in 3 months of our fellowship.

Energizer: Solving riddle and taking a selfie

The last session was different from our usual sessions of 3 months. Because we were there to get the reward of our hard work and to make connections stronger by listening to the views of other fellows on having a superpower. It was time to say goodbye to all the friends for online sessions on weekends but the start of the friendship journey and I am grateful to Amal academy for giving me best friends and amazing fellows.

Time to start a new adventure

Yesterday brought the beginning, tomorrow brings the end, though somewhere in the middle we became the best of friends.

Thank You Amal Academy!
Regards,
Sukhra Khurram
